A well-established private dermatology practice in the western Los Angeles area is seeking a Board-Certified Dermatologist to join its team for a long-term opportunity.
This position offers an appealing balance for a dermatologist who enjoys medical dermatology today but would like cosmetics to become a more meaningful part of their practice over time.
You'll step into an existing stream of medical dermatology patients rather than being asked to build a schedule from scratch. As you establish patient relationships, you'll also have the opportunity to develop your own cosmetic patient base within a practice where aesthetic dermatology is already deeply established.
Position Highlights:
- Focus primarily on medical dermatology, including skin examinations, diagnosis and treatment of common dermatologic conditions and non-Mohs skin cancer procedures. New medical patients will be actively directed to your schedule, creating a strong foundation from which to grow.
- For physicians interested in cosmetics, the practice offers the advantage of joining an environment where aesthetic care is already a significant part of the patient experience rather than something being built from the ground up.
- Expect approximately 25+ patients per day, with most visits scheduled in 15-minute increments and additional time allotted for comprehensive skin examinations.
- The preferred schedule is five days per week, although four days may be considered for the right physician.
- Practice in a spacious dermatology office designed to support medical, cosmetic and surgical care, including medical assistant and front-office support and computerized scheduling, outsourced billing and a strong online and social media presence.
- Receive a competitive compensation package with additional upside tied to cosmetic services as your practice grows. Additional benefits available including PTO.
- Participation in social media content is optional, though comfort on camera is a plus.
Who We're Looking For
Qualified candidates should:
- Be a Board-Certified Dermatologist
- Be comfortable managing a strong medical dermatology schedule
- Have an interest in growing a cosmetic practice over time
- Be collaborative, dependable and interested in a long-term fit
An active California medical license is strongly preferred due to the practice's immediate hiring need. Dermatologists already based in the Greater Los Angeles area are especially encouraged to explore the opportunity, although strong relocation candidates will also be considered.
